My heart bleeds for them. They have this "scam" where they put panels on your roof, but you get nothing. They are using peoples roofs to make money for them , and you get nothing. That's why I bought my own panels.I don,t trust "quangos"(quassy governmental organisations).I have my buy in price, 44c a kwhr on contract til 2020.Bill

Sometimes thinking outside the box can produce surprising Thoughts.
If the Electricity providers have to charge Carbon Tax to us the consumer.......Don't those who have Solar panels and sell back to the grid not have to charge the Electricity buyers the same Carbon Tax?
Work out how much you pay per Kilowatt/Hour to them for power, and then compare it to the miserly amount they pay you for your power.
Looks like you pay Lotsa dollars and they buy for cents.
Not sure about other states but in the ACT they started off paying back higher than they charged, then reduced after a couple of years to the same amount.... think it was costing them too much! If you've got enough panels you can make a profit over the summer months.
I have my own panels, and just got my 3 month bill-$29! not bad , eh.Some times I get a cheque!, and the buy in tarriff is til 2020. Great isn,t it. Everybody should have them. Bill

if everybody has them then the elec company would have nobody to sell their electricity to and they would go broke, don't you feel sorry for the electricity company
The main problem with the 60c/KW feed in tarif is its un sustainable, someone is paying for it. That someone is other power customers & the tax payers. It now nolonger exists. I purchased a 1.5Kw solar system earlier this year for $1800 fitted. Through the winter (worst part of the year for solar), My last 3month bill was $45. I pay 30c/KW for power & I get 25.8c/Kw credited of my bill for exported power. Some states they wont pay anything for power you export.

we also are locked into 47c kwhr here in WA, but what happens after 2020?
I will move to the moon, where I won,t be paying carbon tax...........I will use the panels on my own self contained power system. Hopefully, telecoma batterys will still be around. Bill
My inlaws lived on an island in Moreton Bay not so many years ago, early 70's. They had a wood stove, with water heating ability, a small gas stove, gas lighting, and a generator for when they wanted the TV on.
I'm sure there must still be people living like this.
