Gday...

Sitting in a van park in Bourke NSW. Weather is lovely - warm (24degC), no wind, clear skies and nice neighbours.

Despite this glorious weather, I will be watching the V8s at Sandown this arvo (go Whincup) ... and then YELLING me lungs out tonight at TV - GO PIES ! ! !

Cheers - John

hubby is watching Sandown, we've just had a delightful lunch with friends on their patio....prawns, chicken risotto and home made lemon meringue pie with a little glass of something alcoholic, all followed by coffee, enjoying the sunshine....makes you glad to be alive!

Gerty....hadn't realised Floriade had started yet, we might try to get there.   Capricorn and pisces

Weekdays might be best time, C & P, it was very crowded today Saturday. Some flowers out but not at its full glory for another couple of weeks methinks. Lets know if you are coming to Canberra?

Then I will be off to the Gully Pub in the arvo 4-00 PM for some rock and roll dancing till 6-30 PM then off to the Micawber pub for some more rock and roll dancing till 9-30 PM,
Then its home to bed,
It looks like a nice day coming up, so I will take the bike, Its a grouse ride home through the hills after the Pubs,

Starting to repack van for a few weeks around the Blue Mts. Finishing last trip photos onto DVD with "old" music. Waiting to be handed the Sunday papers for my turn to read. Packing van the most exciting considering we have only been home for 2 weeks!

It is almost midday here in Inverell and I am still in my PJ's lol sitting at my craft desk playing with ink. paint, India Ink, texture paste and a few other treasures, creating a multi media piece.  I will be making some cards later on so before I go much further I had better jump into the shower, wash the hair etc etc and get some day clothes on although it is Sunday and I should be allowed to sit here in my PJ's all day if it pleases me hehehe and I would if I wasn't concerned about being caught out by a knock on the door biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I've been out to my ex husbands place this morning. My caravan's home is there on his 5 acres. He was attending to a couple of things on the van for me, because son is busy on his own camper.

As I left there, I had a phone call from a friend inviting me for lunch, with cakes etc for afters. Her daughter's getting married in 2 weeks, and she had her hens party last night...heaps of food left over. Yummo! While she's sewing petticoats for the bridesmaids, I'm scoffing cake and cups of tea! biggrin

We are in trouble and we haven't even been home 24 hrs!!! Daughter in law and youngest grand daughter stayed the night (they picked us up from the airport last night) so this morning while mummy slept we went garage sale-ing and to the local markets.( how many barbies and teddies are too many?). So the 7year old had Chocolate cake for breakfast dessert (she did have toast as well), icecream and choc milk while we were out, and was bouncing off the ceiling by time we got back. Don't understand what the problem was!! We were just being good grand parents.( our story was 90% was just excitement with nan and pop home and taking her shopping and only 10% was sugar overload).

Went to Emu Park Markets this morning, then spent most of the rest of the day at Yeppoon Hospital, waiting to have a sore eye seen to.  Last Pic. is of a little cutie who only cried when she bit her lip, while chewing a Rusk.

Good morning all. To-day, sorting clothes for next short trip to Blue Mts & I am guessing evenings/mornings will still be rather cool. Taking cooked dinner down to daughter's in Bris this evening to say goodbye to her, hubby & 2 granddaughters until early NOv. At least we will be going in opposite direction to peak hour traffic!

Looking at the van wondering how I can get in and out on crutches. Isn't it marvelous hub by and I both off work, so time to take a trip, but I can't get in the dam thing. Has anyone got a suggestion? I did look at the dog ramps on line and wondered if I could use it to get in the van.
