Cliff Head North [WA] south of Dongara

There is a lot of area along the beachfront at this great stop on the Indian Ocean Drive.  1 set of toilets and no showers but to be right on the shorefront was very nice indeed.

We have just returned home from a trip around the W.A. coast,

I have to agree, Cliff Head North, was a fantastic stop-over, we spent a couple of lovely clear days,

And you're right about the Sunsets, pambaz, If time had allowed, we would still be there.

Looks like a beautiful spot. Is the road/track in 4wd only or can a sedan drive in as well. I'll be passing by this week with the van in tow and would like to have a look.

2WD ok for entry road parking/camping area near toilet on the way in, but keep away from the soft stuff especially closer to the beach.

See these posts on Yeoelevens blog about getting bogged in the carpark when he camped there with his Hi Ace.

There are spots for camping further down tracks along the beach and I saw a number of caravans there but from memory all had 4WD tugs.

Thanks Vic

I had a look at the track on the way up and decided I'd wait till I was with some-one before trying it. Just in case.
Knowing my luck I'd get stuck. Even the lure of a cache couldn't tempt me......this time.

LOL yes it will be like the blind leading the blind Cathy lol.   Actually I don't know if you would be safer driving in front of me or behind me lol.  But then on second thoughts you go first, just in case you get stuck, lol.  Hopefully Brutus will come along lol, if not! then its time for Spinach. LOL, its okay as you can see I'm a little tapped up top lol.

Kisha.

Unfortunately, it is no longer a free camp

I am led to believe that it is $20 a vehicle, in November 2021
