Heading West

Hello everyone, just letting you know I shall be heading west  on 5th August.I will be going from Bendigo via Renmark / Port Pirie / Port Augusta and down to Port Lincoln,hoping to spend  a few days here.Moving along the coast towards Ceduna,turning to Esperance at Norseman and heading to Perth. Looking forward to the trip and hopefully meeting a few nomads.

Im leaving the dogs at home and travelling with a friend who is new to the caravan world....thats going to be an experience is'nt it.Still Im looking forward to the trip.  smile      Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.

Good luck with the trip Alfie. Hope it all goes well for you. good to see you are getting out there now, even if the little ones aren't going with you.

Safe and happy travels. I don't know where I'll be, but if I'm around I'll try to catch up.

it's good that you are not bringing the dogs cos they will be taken off of you at the border, WA has banned dogs from entering WA biggrinbiggrinbiggrin (only joking)

let us all know where and when you will be in Perth

The servo in the back street of Norseman usually has cheaper fuel, and if you travel through Norseman towards Esperance, I believe Grass patch and Salmon Gums have cheaper caravan parks.

Also use your Camps 6 for free camps along the Nullabor and towards Esperance etc....

Happy travels...

 Salmon Gums caravan park was $10 per night for the first person and then $5 per person for any extra. That was for a powered site back in March 2012

Sounds pretty good to me Clare, I'll put that on my list as well for future travel!

The freebie in Kalgoorlie for self contained vehicles sounds good to if you've got that set up.

I would imagine a lidded or capped grey water container and a porta potti would qualify if the Ranger came around, see;

(not in Camps 6 but will be in next edition or current online updates I understand)

I'm still in Adelaide so we'll probably miss each other. Have a safe trip and a jolly good time.
