We have been on the road for over 5 weeks so far - and this time we didn't bring the dog. He's not actually our dog but our son's. Sound familiar? So we have left him with the son. Why? Because he has cancer (the dog does) and if he has to 'go' it would be best to be with him or later, when, if he is still alive, when we pick him up again and take him back to our place. The vet said last December he wouldn't last long - but he's still with us even though his cancer lumps are getting bigger.  So I haven't been able to read this part of the forum up til now - even though I never wanted to have a dog, he has gotten into my heart. I must admit though, it has probably made it quite a bit easier to travel - but when I think about it, every caravan park we've used this far has allowed dogs anyway.
