I am sure its worse than where does the odd sock go. At least you can pop an odd sock in the drawer on its own till its mate comes back. But tissue broken up all over clothes is nearly impossible to get off. I want to know how do you remedy this situation. The only way I have found is wait till clothing is dry then give it a really good shake. OUTSIDE!!
I found a solution to the tissue in the wash problem. I no longer put tissues in my pockets!
I was always having the same problem, but since I learnt this valuable lesson, the only time it's happened was when number two son was staying with me. I shook the bejeezuz out of them...outside...and as I wasn't the one having to wear them, didn't give it another thought!
I have discovered that when a tissue finds it way into the wash and it's a frontloader, it does not shred to pieces but stays in one ball. Wonderful. One of the few things I like about the front loader!
Thats sounds like good news NeilnRuth. I was hoping to find something positive about the front loader I've just bought for the first time. Miss my old top loader.
So do I Marj. Can't just go and pop in the sock I dropped on the way to the laundry! And I used to be able to do a 'tiny' load. But I do like the bench space I've got over the top of it. Wonder though how I'll go bending down all the time as I get older. Hehe.
I just press the pause button on my front loader. The door unlocks and I throw whatever I have forgotten in. then just press the start button and on it goes. As for a tissue wash. A dryer is a wonderful thing. Takes all the tissue right off. If the other half complains about the power bill it causes. I just tell him NOT to keep putting tissues in his pockets

Already got this problem Ruth, Put your washer on top of that bench! Easy!
(Actually its the dryer that I've put on the bench)
Hi Gerty. I wanted to do that in the first place but decided the washer was too heavy and may move when working. I'll just have to stay nimble! Haha. Or get someone else to do the washing!
For removing tissue and washing machine sludge I take a clean Chux and dampen it. Not too wet. Then I just wipe all over the sludgy spots and all gone.
