The back roads from Gympie to Biggenden are open to all cattle with cattle grids along the way. Vehicles give way of course. Just as I pulled up on this couple the calf was having a drink in the middle of the road.
Nice photo Marj! On the way out of Carnarvon gorge a couple of resting cows completely blocked the road and looked happy to stay there all day. I got out of the car and had to whistle and clap and shout to get them to move. Mr D considered driving forward but I thought it would be a bit sticky.
