Just enquired about this one.

About an hour our of Brisbane. $5 per night. need to be self contained. no showers, no toilets. 178 Dunns Avenue, Harrisville. anyone been there?

Not to stay - didn't know you could - but been to the winery - make the best white port - and very nice people. Not too far from Boonah, in the Scenic Rim.

This post brings back memories 

... as a boy technician in the 60's with PMG I was posted to Harrisville for a couple of years  .. on a one man (boy) station.   Had a ball.

No wineries there in those days, we drank Amity rum with beer chasers. Wine was for sissies & derros, but I do recall the Normanby farm. 

 

About time I went back to revisit old memories.

One of the joys of having a mobile home is its free, and if your into winery visits and I stick my hand up here if you over do the free samples and get a little bit pisticated one can just park anywhere and crash for the night, no trying to assemble tents whilst stumbling around and banging them pegs into your foot or putting the thing up back to front and thenbeing flogged by the wife coz shes tired and wants to sleep, I love my bus lol, in any case winerys are the go and boutique brewerys lol
