What the heck is this?

Found this on the kitchen floor awhile ago, no idea from whence it came or wtf it is.

It looks like an ant but I've never seen one like it here.

It is about 1cm long, black with white dot on the back of the head and a couple white dots on the top of the abdomen.  There are white stripes under the abdomen as well.

I got onto the CSIRO site, (http://anic.ento.csiro.au) and perhaps ita a webspinner - which is the closest I seem to find.
