Has anyone any news on the condition of the Newell Highway?  Any flooded spots or is it all clear now. Heading off in a few days.

We only did Parkes to Narrabri on the Newell HW, and all well on that section. Quite a lot of trucks though!

Always a lot of trucks gerty. Can't avoid them. I don't travel after 4pm to try and avoid most of them.

Yes Marj, we are usually settled in somewhere by 3 pm. Seems to be the normal thing for grey nomads.

Heading off in the morning. Have moved out of unit and staying at daughters the night.
Staying in the free camp 39ks north of Jerilderie the first night. Think it is Bandure or something similiar. My book are out in the van.

Have got to Parkes so far, no problems on the road at all. Lot of water lying in paddocks, lots of birdlife to see on the water.
