My A'van Sportliner is in need of servicing and a few minor repairs and I was wondering if anyone new of a reliable place to take it..........I'm in the Berwick area and don't seem to be able to find anyone that doesn't look a bit dodgy so your help and advice would be very much appreciated
Thanks ozjohn someone told me about hardings and said they were good but a bit expensive but I guess its like everything else u get what u pay for. I was hoping to find someone a bit more local but in the end I may have to go to Kilsyth.
Endorse Hardings. They take pride in a truly professional approach. Worth the effort to get there. Even if they may cost a bit more, I think the experiences of some, that we read about on here, show that it is better to go to the experts. You may need to wait a while to get in, though.
Hi quillyb, Avan RV Sales, 9 Webster way Pakenham. 03 5945 4545
Hi Dougwe, I spoke to a Pakenham A'van sales lady at the Caulfield Caravan show about repairs and she was very uninterested and virtually told me to go elswhere saying they probably could do it but it wouldn't be for at least another 3 months, then she walked away from me!!!!!
Thanks Helen, Dandenong is a lot closer for me than Kilsyth....have you had experience with them?
I had my van there for over six weeks waiting for a quote to get some renos done - it is now going to be done in Bayswater in May.
Wow 6 weeks just to get a quote!!!! Who r u going to in Bayswater? I can't believe these places take so long. Quite a few places in Qld when I was there last year were happy to come out to caravan parks and do on the spot repairs almost straight away and quite cheaply, not sure what sort of job they did but never heard anyone complain. I should have got all my repairs done then.
In the past I have had a few jobs done by Simpsons in Dandenong. They do a pretty good job and as such they are always busy. I dropped in to get a small job done in Feb and they had a waiting list of 3 mths.
Another suggestion: There is a Father and Son team who come to your home @ around $90 call out fee plus parts and extra time. Its called Darts Mobile Caravan Services. Had them fix a leaking window on the van. Did a good job. email: mail@mobilecaravanservices.com.au
Please note that I have no affiliation with this firm what so ever. Just offering a suggestion to a fellow GN.

Two Strays
Thanks two strays I might give them a call sounds ok to me, I have an A'van Sportliner and the large wind out window is lifting making it difficult to head off too far incase it flies off altogether then I will be in real strife !!
How often should you have your van serviced? Ours is six months old. Do we need to have it serviced for warranty purposes and how much should a 1st service cost?
