Jayco Conquest

I have a 2011 Jayco Conquest and have just had my first outing in it and have noticed a problem with the door. It has a double door, full security flyscreen door and the outer door, very heavy. It  is fitted with a gas stut to the step and every time the door is fully opened it flexes the step and especially the Aluminium facia on the step. I think it's not going to be long before this cracks or pulls the step away. Anyone seen this or know of a fix for it.?

a few reasons, the gas strut is too strong for the mounting points (if practical fit lower pressure strut), geomotry of the anchor points wrong, (correctly position the anchor points), if above cant be achieved trough previous bad engineering that as caused the problem then you will need to over engineer the problem (fit extra support to eleminate the flex

Take it back immediately to the Dealer with all supportive evidence very much in line with "blaze's". The new ACL (Australian Consumer Law) was nationwide from 1 January 2011. It definitely sounds like a "not fit for the purpose" situation. Why put up with the problem? Get it fixed by the Dealer now at no cost to you. It also must be done within a reasonable time with no call-backs or repeat repairs.
