Milo the post on Coke or water suggests drinking some water to help you through the day. But I do agree, humidity will sap that energy.

Not to mention the effect that humidity has on Meniers Disease too.  It's the pits.

Hi Milo,

Was supposed to go play bowls this afternoon - instead, slept for three hours!! Don't know about others, but I am finding this year in particular, that I am just not handling the humidity/heat all that well, and doesn't help being up in Nth Qld during the wet season!!

And yes, I too get phlem attacks/coughing/choking fits constantly - the doc says its to do with acid reflux!! We'll see, taking pills, but not truely convinced. One day down the track I may find out the reason for it.

The congestion is related to sinus. The humidity is my best friend. I never get blocked up with it's humid. The minute the humidity clears I choke up, nose, throat and everywhere.
The nose congestion is no fun, but I wouldn't link it to reflux.

Peejay - gave up bowling for sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!! Never - had a great win in the first round of club championship singles today - played one of our better lady bowlers - playing to 25 points - at 23-21 (me 21) I put in four of the best bowls known to mankind (well to Rathdowney anyway) - to win - excited - not the word!!

You can get a nasal rinse that seems to help with sinus problems. Some mornings I wake up with such a thick head, yes I know, go on say it.
I use the nasal rinse to help clear the sinus and then go through a box of tissues. Always feels better after.

Trust me Jules, I needed the sleep, and with the heat up here in Tsv, I really didn't miss being out in the heat playing bowls!

Yep milo, have heard of indoor bowls. Very popular in NZ, not sure about Aus. My late husband used to play it.
