I have put this under health as it is associated with Beyond Blue and those struggling with life in one way or the other.

you wouldnt believe it.....but.....a Museum I'm involved with last 16 years at Milang SA.....has opened a Mens Shed last weekend.....I think they said theres 87 in SA and 670?? around Aust

Thanks Vic for this. Howard and myself will be travelling around the country soon, speaking and promoting bowel cancer awareness, the mens sheds, would be great to pop into and share bowel cancer awareness etc. When I have a more detailed plan, I will contact some of them, ,

I have found Sing Australia to be quite a good venue for friendship. I joined in Cairns and really felt like part of the family.
I am now a member at Gawler, and although the singing is a great way to release crappy feelings, the link is not as strong.
Singing is my way of getting my breathing in good order and condition while I sing great lyrics to make me feel strong.
We all have something we use to get through.
When I couldn't get around much I spent my time writing or embroidering. Any distraction is a good distraction.

Lions Clubs or similar organisations could be a good place to approach as well.
