Sounds very hot and dry in the old WA..... Yes I am indeed very lucky being in the neck of the woods. Sorry but hope you can stand a few more beautiful photos
Severe weather season is definitely in full swing as every state proves likely to see a thunderstorm fire up in the next week.
Currently, lightning and thunder is continuing for interior parts of WA, NT and SA as tropical moisture is sucked south by a broad region of low pressure. This region will keep seeing storms at least through until the middle of next week, extending to the Top End. Darwin has a good chance of getting hit by a storm sometime from early afternoon today, picking up similar totals to yesterday's storms (about 5mm at a time).

Localised flooding is possible across much of South Australia

This will result in the development of widespread thunderstorms and periods of heavy rain across a broad area from the Eastern Eyre Peninsula stretching across the Flinders, south of the North East Pastoral, Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Adelaide and the Mount Lofty Ranges, Riverland and Murraylands.
Daily falls of around 50 mm are possible. Rainfall totals between Thursday to Saturday may reach 100 mm.
From later Thursday to Saturday areas of local flooding and water level rises in rivers and creeks are likely in the catchments covered by this flood watch.

Going Via south Coast NSW & stopped off to see friends at Bermagui for a few days before catching the Ferry to Tassie. Monday 29th Janruary 2018 - beautiful blue sky this morning, with a prediction of 37 - it was very steamy, we had to go to the shops - left the hatch up in the motorhome, door open, then one of the windows of the car won't go up - yep - the 70% likelihood of a storm came through - by the time we got back in the car, and home with the driver getting drenched, was pelting down. Now changed, dried off and dried the floor, put a garbage bag over the window, but the seats are wet anyway. Not to worry.
We are near Avoca in NW Victoria, just off the Sunraysia Highway. Ground is that dry the water is not soaking in very well., so quite a few puddles and slippery spots around.

Hi, it has been raining the last 3 days. we r in a caravan park paying a fortune n all we can do is read or use the internet. Tv works but the rain is too loud on the roof to hear it. Went to monrepoe to see the turtles. No rain until we got to the beach. Just as well we had tracksuits n raincoats. But all things considered, we had 3 grandies sleep over one night. we had an amazing night seeing a turtle laying eggs, n were woken next morning with a grandie at my head saying nanny, mummy n daddy r here .Precious. Rain or shine, Love life.
