Loganholme Qld

Kiwi-as has asked me to set a date for meeting whoever is in this area, and wants to meet up.

So I think for ease of parking etc, Zarrafa's Coffee Shop, Riverlakes Shopping Centre, Redland Bay Road, Loganholme.

How about Monday the 6th Feb at 10.30am?

Thats very appropriate. 6th Feb is NZ Waitangi Day. Like our Australia Day. You can help Kiwi-As celebrate.

I have a feeling I have been to that coffee shop quite a few years ago.

Well that IS appropriate then Marj! I knew about Waitangi Day, but didn't know the date.

You wouldn't have been to this one Marj, it's fairly new. But there is also one in the Hyperdome. I thought the Hyperdome might be too hard for parking rigs. Even though there's heaps of parking, if it's raining, everyone seems to go to the shops. hmm

It'd be good to meet you too Boinsoon and Mrs Goinsoon.

As for you Bill, we HAVE to meet you. If that day doesn't suit we'll change it, JUST for you! wink

Hi Beth

Darryl and I would love to join you for a coffee.  It will be nice to check out the new building and shop.  Last time we went there it was Rhapsody Restaurant.......  Last time we drove past hubby commented on the 'drive-thru' for Zarraffa's......

Plenty of undercover area for everyone to meet in.

Looking forward to it.

Marj - hope you and Mrytle are keeping well.

Barb and Darryl

It'll be great to see you all. Barb & Daz, when they were making the drive-thru, I wondered what was going on. confuse I've never heard of a drive-thru coffee shop before.

I don't know about the grass skirt, but I'd love to see a Haka! biggrin

Thats a shame Brian - hope to be at Loganholme - bit wet in Jimboomba last few days, eh.
Spoke to the lady you spoke to at our visitors centre - she was confused, she knows me very well - didn't feel she could give my phone number out.

That was probably the second lady I spoke to, she was very helpful she got the roster out and told me you were on duty on sunday, I asked her not to give me your phone number as I had it back at the van, we just got too busy mowing lawns and I was doing some machinery repairs for the place we were sitting and time just got away.

If coming from the north, take the first exit after Logan Hyperdome. That's Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road. Sorry I don't know the exit number.

Just keep following that road, straight through 2 roundabouts, and after about 3 1/2 kms, you'll see a small shopping centre on the right. That's Riverlakes.

For anyone coming from the south, take the next exit after the Logan Motorway exit. The rest is the same.

It'll be great to meet you all in person. smile

I only remember a scoop of chips.

Yes, that's what I was told Marj, a Dunedin thing. It's a very Scottish town, so maybe it comes from there.

Kiwi-as, I was once married to a Kiwi, a psycopathic one, as it turned out...but that's beside the point. So I've been to NZ and know a bit about the 'language'.

I was fascinated when I first heard about jandals, but there were two things that really got me giggling. Judder bars and pottles of chips! For our Aussie GN's a judder bar is a speed bump or hump, and a pottle is a container, as in a cup of chips. Mind you, I only saw this in Dunedin.

I think the judder bar is very apt! biggrin
