Ariah Park - just beyond Temora - in NSW.

Powered site at Recreation ground is $10/night or stay 2 nights and third night is free (that's how they put it - not 3 nights for $20!!)

There are toilets and you get a key for showers which are actually the netball association's - and they are unisex. (They put a sign up when there is netball and they can't be used while girls are using them. Fair enough.) There is a twin tub washing machine for free use.

Great little town doing their best for their community and us grey nomads. Let's support them.

Thanks Pam. Yes, I realised that after I had posted. Still trying to work out how to use the site but enjoying it. Also realised there was already a post on Ariah Park after I had done it. I'll get better I'm sure with help from others.

I will remember that one. Temora on the flying days is brilliant as all the planes are maintained on site. Its great to see the the old planes flying. Bill

Temora is, or at least was, a great weekend Bill.  We only missed two flying weekends in five years.

I was a full weekend of non stop flying, well almost, and if you were there on the Friday, as we were, you really got three days as they all did their practice on the Friday.

We would get there around lunchtime on Friday and leave lunch time on Monday.

Unfortunately, for us anyway, they changed their format to every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, only flying the one day, and only three resident planes in the air.

There were some "fly ins" from visiting aircraft but to our mind it has lost a lot of it's appeal.  We were probably spoilt.

Having said all that, it is a great place and the work that goes into these planes is a credit to all concerned.

Temora is a nice place with nice people.

The chinese restaurant is a bit of alright too.

Temora.  Home of the great Paleface Adios the Temora Tornado.  Long gone but great memories.
