I have previously posted about the difficulty in removing tar stains from the front of my van.  Google reveals a product called tautflex which is said to be suitable to cover vinyl and it comes in an almost infinite range of colours.  It is also said to be used to decorate the taut liners on semi trailers so it should be sun safe and flexible.

Can anyone who has used it give an opinion as to its ease of use and the quality of the finish please.

The only forseable problem i can see is will it go on without getting all the tar (stains) off?

If its not applied to a perfectly clean surface there will be air bubbles under it, from these air bubbles it will eventually start to seperate, best used on new material.
Been using simular and that product as a signwriter for the best part of 15 years.
Have you tried penetrene yet to remove the tar stains, that was the original purpose of manufacturing

I used it a month ago on the Avan Cruiseliner front vinyl stoneguard.

This is Burgundy colour and was looking very sorry for itself. The   Avan is outside all the time and takes a beating from the weather.

I got a litre of Tautflex sent over to me by Viponds.    Washed the vinyl down as per instructions and  gave it two coats. Still have about half a litre left for future use.

We were pleased with the finished result 

Not sure how you would remove the tar. But do a test area with some WD40 to see what happens.  ! !

 Just used some to remove tar from the Xtrail about an hour ago
