Oh dear, brings back memories of a trip we did in the 70's where it was my job to wade through the water crossings (mostly on the Bruce highway). If the water level was up to my shorts it was too deep for the car. But it was too deep for me sometimes... had a scary moment in fast-flowing dirty water on a slippery cattle grid!
