You might have a double, were you at Warialda a couple of months ago at the caravan park at the showground, if it wasn't you you have a double driving your motorhome.

Cheers

Brian

 Absolutely, Jimbo!

This is just what we have learnt Jimbo, long trips might be fine for sightseeing but its not only dearer for fuel its greater wear and tear on ourselves too.

Totally agree with you Jimbo. Want to do Tocumwal myself sometime, have heard good things about it, also Cobram along the beaches of the Murray.
No need to do any very long trips till next winter when it is too cold to stay down this way. Plenty to see in Victoria over this summer without going too far.

Back home now. My poisoned finger is better. I need to put the final bolt into the new alterator which got me home without problems. Van needs a good clean inside and out. Enjoyed my stay at Tocumwal and also great camp at Armidale. Fee and no time limit. Lovely spot by the dam. Tank water and toilets.

 Gday...

Hey Jimbo ... sounds like a great place and that area just might be in my plans.

I assume "Peoples Beach" is a camp on the Murray? I have looked through Camps6 and can't find anything that sounds like it.

Would you provide a bit more info please.

Cheers

John

That would be Tocumwal town beach. Right at the Post Office, Next right and follow the short track to the beach.

 Gday...

Thanks for that .... however, I just googled (satellite and Earth) and I am not sure I got it right ... Right at Post Office is into Morris St ? and then next right is Hennessy St ? which becomes either a dead end to the right or a bit of road that goes to the left and down to what appears to be a large, wide sandy area.

Am I getting close?

Cheers

John

Sounds like that would be right John. There's nothing in the Camps book but I do remember Jimbo talking about it at Greens Lake. He said $5.00 a night.
The white sandy area would be the beach.

Gday...

Thanks all ... I reckon I just might give that a bit of a try before year's end.

I intend giving it a try at some stage, the way jimbo described it sounded worthwhile.

Yes that is the right spot. Turn left onto a dirt track to the grassed camping area. Caretaker on site. Plenty of camp sites.
