 Any one know of budget caravan park at or near  wauchope or do the have camping at showground ??

Port Maquarie have some good parks but I cant think of any in Wauchope, there is a great free camp about 15k from Wauchope at Ellenbourgh

 Lilly, the show ground does have group gatherings held there so may be worth a call to the council, there is also a cara/park just westof the show ground on the walcha road which is also the Oxley hwy.

No van parks anymore but showground has a caretaker have seen the odd single van there as well as groups

I read that camping is available at Wauchope showground: www.wauchopegazette.com.au/story/1195867/camp-sites-boost-for-wauchope-showground/ Has any-one here stayed there? We're thinking of driving there tomorrow.

OK; I've just called the new caretaker at Wauchope showgrounds, his name is Neil, 0428 699 388, he confirmed the showground is open for business; $20 per site, hot showers, power & water. So I'm going there tomorrow!
