On various trips have stopped at the Overland Corner Hotel for a cooling ale.

It is a great outback pub, one Shogun should have on his list to visit.

There is a mark up on the wall of the Pub, above the door from memory, showing where the flood in the mid 1950s peaked.

Amazing when you look around at the flat, but beautiful, countryside over to the river about a kilometre or so away.

Snapper. Greens Lake is halfway between Echuca and Bendigo. Turn off at Elmore and go about 24mks, then turn left just after Corop.
There are a couple of grey nomads there at the moment and depending on when you come through, there could be more.

Does anyone know what murray cod are like to eat?
I'm not keen on fresh water fish, but the cod is a bit elusive, so I was just wondering if anyone here has eaten any.

Can be the biggest fish in the murray system. Bit muddy from my experience.. Redfin are the preferred eating fish. But that goes back 50 yrs before they started stocking programs. Gee, its been a long time.

From memory a very fatty fish. I didnt like them, like Chi Chi  preferred  redfin, and freshwater catfish is alright too.
