Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village, Nth Qld.

http://www.missionbeachhideaway.com.au/

One of the best run parks I've stayed at, located right in the heart of Mission Beach. Walk across the reserve at the front of the caravan park to the beach or take a stroll to the nearby shops, restaurants and bars.

This one is not cheap but given its magic location and high standard it is not excessively overpriced.  They do a deal for long term stays and many regulars take advantage of this.

The grounds are immaculately maintained and the amenities spotlessly clean with no shortage of hot water even when other showers are in use.

"Keith" the father of the operator of the park will guide you onto your site and park you next to your slab with "millimetre precision".

Mission Beach is my favourite Nth Qld place.

Yep gotta agree with you, although we were there in 2009 before the cyclone last year. Think if you stay 10 weeks its very reasonable and that aint hard to do !!!

Hi all we are doing an overnight stay at mission Beach Top tourist prior to moving on to Townsville tomorrow and it is a very nice park but I think more than a bit expensive at $43.00 per night with normal top tourist discount off that, but its wet and the boss wants amenities, power and water.

Walked around town and through the Council park over the road which is very basic and chock full at the moment.

You're right David, it ain't cheap. But they don't have any trouble filling the park in peak season, or at least they haven't any time I've stayed there. They do a significantly discounted rate for stays of ten weeks or more and many regulars take advantage of this.
