D-Day Tomorrow

That is "Delivery Day". After waiting 5 agonising months I finally get my new van tomorrow. Now the fun starts. I think I'll drag it down to Bathurst for the big race next month. That should be a good shake down trip to sort out any bugs if they exist. Yeeee Haaa.

Doug

Ooh, how exciting! Then it's packing and stacking, putting in, taking out, and then the shakedown cruise.
Enjoy the experience. It's all part of the nomad life.
When is the christening?

Well done Doug! My D-day is another couple of weeks. A Montana Archer 21 footer. Our shakedown will be the Qld Sunshine Coast with the main stop at Noosa - I'll stay there for a week whilst the little lady goes back to work. Someone has to do the hard work!

I hope you already have a site booked Doug, they are like hens teeth up there this time of year.  They book from one year to the next so getting a site even if you enquire 6 months previously you will be extremely lucky.  Someone nearly has to drop off the twig for one to become available.

I used to own a motel at Lithgow and we were always booked out 12 months in advance for Bathurst race week and I know the van parks in Lithgow were in the same position.

Congratulations!!! We pick up our new mobile home next Friday in Hobart, never camped in our lives so its all new to us. SCARY.  Ordered in May so its not been too long to wait. Going to have a practice on our way home up the east coast of Tassie. Enjoy your new van.

Hi Ma, we have had 3 sites side by side in the paddock for many years and yes we re-book each year. In previous years I have camped in a tent and suffered the wind, rain, sleet and heat so this year I aint ruffin it any more.
