Hey Wombat, got the laptop back yesterday. Funny thing though, I'd been saying to my duaghter that very day,,,'must ring Officeworks, it's been 3 weeks now',,,within 10 minutes a bloke phoned me to say it was back! I said, were your ears burning? When I told him, he had a good chuckle.

They replaced the hard drive, but apparently I didn't bust it! biggrin

WOW, why did it take so long, it takes about 10-15 mins to change a HD

You must have known he was going to ring you biggrin

At the top of the report it says date booked, 29th August, then date received 13th sept. confuse So I'm assuming it sat on a shelf somewhere for 2 weeks! disbelief

is it any wonder that people do not like computer tech's when try do things like this, make's my blood boil, because I know how long it should take.

The main thing is you now have it back and it's happy where it belongs not collecting dust on a shelf.

You and I seem to be the only ones having a problem seeing the Avatar gubby.   I have mentioned it elsewhere.  Will go and see if I have a reply yet.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who couldn't see it.

Cheers,

Sheba.

I finally stopped long enough to watch what happens with it .  I think he's having a joke with us.  Watch it all the way through.  I don't usually watch Avatars that long, so missed it for awhile.

Cheers,

Sheba.

gubby, sorry for that avatar, the red cross does not have a pic, the yellow face is trying to get the pic to show by poking it with a stick and the red face thinks shooting it will make it work biggrin

Congratulation's Sheba you sussed it out.biggrin

yellow face and red face are computer geeks gubby and Vicbiggrin

not much room left in my burrow because of my 5 computers, I wanted to dig another computer room next to this one but the Director of Finance (Mrs W) said no way, her solution is to stop building or buying computer's, now I think that's a silly idea.biggrin

PS I like JC suggestion biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
