Anyone in Winton for the Outback Festivle

Hey all,

We have done our time at Birdsville, and are now in the Winton region for a couple of months.  Have landed a job on a cattle property about 80k south of Winton.

Weather is dry, and getting hot, but mornings are still a bit cool.  The Nissan is behaving herself, and the kedron is a dream to tow.

Any GNs coming to Winton for the outback Festival?  We are about 2 hours drive south (if travelling with caravan)

Hi Dunmowin - curious as to the name of the station. We stayed on Weona Worri in that vacinity about 25 years ago and have never forgotten the McKerrows - enjoy your stay - Jenny

Some interesting country down that way. Great for photos. We camped a couple of weeks at Opalton, some years ago and did quite a bit of exploring around there and down south of the Mayne River.

hi Dunmowin,
Which way you heading when you finish at Winton? Liz and I look after 40,000 acres at present in Julia Creek area. Looks like we are here till February now. It was originally timed to finish at October 31. They asked us to extend another few months. Coming from Winton you turn off at Kynuna if coming this way.
cheers
Terry and Liz

When is the Outback Festival on...please tell me more.

EDIT.  Ignore that question, I see it was on this weekend so have missed it.  Will be heading out that way in a few weeks.
