Friendly Whyalla

We are staying at Footy club grounds & a lady from a house the other side of the road came over with some homemade bikkies & homemade sweets.  She does this to all new arrivals here to welcome them.  Isn't that nice!!

Do you have power and amenities there Kandagal? What's happening at the caravan park?
A bloke who stayed in the cabin next to me comes from Whyalla and he said it's warmer up there than down here in the smoke. That's the "big smoke".
You can tour the steel smelter and the museum. I found both very interesting when I visited those places.
Not much else in that part of the world these days, although Port Bonython to the north is being utilised as a major port for mining industry.

Bewdy! Sounds like a bonza spot, and a little fund raising for the club. Are they open for a beer in the evening or all day? Do they have meals as well?
Oh, I forgot, this is SA country, not Qld with Leagues and other footy clubs.
