Is there much difference between camps 5 and camps 6 we have bought the books each time they have come out but thought this time we would give it a miss just wondered if there was much difference in them. Helena.

Don't think there's much difference Helena, but they put in new Camps, and delete any that are no longer operating.   You can up-date them on-line, instead of buying the new version every year.

Cheers,

Sheba.

we are still using camps 5, buy it every second time, think it comes out every two years.

I did email Phillip once asking for a pensioner discount but he replied he would go out of buisness if he did that as his biggest market was pensioners, so we stick with our option of any buy every second edition

If you want to buy a Camps 6, have a look at this site. Its a great freecamp site:

http://ozcamps.net/

Click on the map Australia. It'll open another page, then click on the link to Camps 6. Purchased through here will help Brett keep his site going.

Hope I'm not treading on Cindy's toes here

Cheers
Ross

We purchased the Camps 6 waypoints/POIs from the GPSOz website for our Garmin Nuvi 760 (though they are available for a number of Navigators)http://www.gpsoz.com.au/camps6/index.htm.

You really need to use them with the book as the POIs are listed by the number assigned in the book.

On loading them onto the SD Card a list of the States appears eg CAMPS6 Qld etc.On selecting the State you want a selection of around 50 Camps will appear near your current location.

This list of Camps is by the number assigned in the book, plus the Camp Name/distance away/direction, say NE. If you are after a different campsite to those listed, you hit the "Spell" button and type in the Camp Number you are after.
