Definitely NOT safe.

Do a search and discover how many people die in the USA every year from carbon monoxide poisoning in RVs.
Carbon monoxide poisoning is called "sleeping death". You will just peacefully nod off, NEVER to wake again.

Cheers,
Peter

Personally I can't see what the problem is as long as it's for short to medium period and you don't go to bed with it on. Imagine the amount of gas you'd use.
Dangerous, maybe, maybe not.
For those that say it's a definite a No, No, how do you cook in your van?
We place a pot on a flame on the stove. Is there another way of using the stove without a flame?
Cheers, Ozjohn.

Can certainly recommend installing a carbon monoxide alarm if you are going to use this, or any form of combustion heating in an enclosed space.

the danger is oxygen depletion caused by combusting gas, which in turn produces carbon monoxide. When cooking, most people have doors and or windows open, or extractor fans running to remove steam and odours, thus removing the carbon monoxide produced at the same time. I doubt you would have doors , windows open and extractor fans running if it was cold enough to warrant such a risky behaviour

It's the  nice warm fuzzy curling up on a cool/cold night.

The gas stove and plant pot only on for ten minutes just to warm the place up. That wont  do any harm.

Doona,  Book,  and a glass or two,   stretched  out on the bed.

"Nod off"

The scenario's are numerous.

Ever felt your eyes getting heavy  in  that boring   meeting at work.

Twenty people in  the small meeting room.    No windows or doors open cos it's too  noisey  with all the plant  running outside.

We had a meeting room like that at work. Not enough ventilation when the place was full.  We had numerous people nod off (Yes me as well)

Lack of Oxygen

" Blink " and  your gone.

Milo Buddy, Get your self a diesel heater and you wont ever be cold.. The best little add on we have fitted to the van.. But just now in TownVillie have only used it a few mornings just before getting out, must be getting soft......and much safer....

I see Big W had hot water bottles on special this week, think only 3 or 4 dollars. Should have got one myself.
