townsville to perth

heading off next week on a 12 week trip from townsville to perth and rtn.been watching the weather reports and it looks like the wrong time of year to travel east to west across the nullabor.might have to go across the top even though it's peak tourism time in the north west.no matter which way we go it will be good to be on the road again.

My choice would be across the top too, was in Nth Qld around this time last year and it wasn't too bad numbers on the roadwise. Darwin a bit crowded but ok. Not too sure what you have seen or haven't seen in Qld, but we loved the inland bits.

If you can time your trip to come down through the midwest of WA around August/September you will see the wildflower season, google West Australian Wilflowers Tourism for more info.

Good luck and happy travels,

Stay safe. My choice across the top and back to the east coast
