Wiring up Reverse cameras

I need some help with hooking up the power on my camera setup. I bought a monitor and 2 cameras from EBAY.

When I go to hook up the power there are 3 wires.

1 negative

1 positive

and 1 for the reverse switch.

My question is that I want to run the cameras whilst the power is on, and not just in reverse, so can I join the power and Reverse switch wire together and connect them to 12 v power???

That should be fine Arald, But I would put a normal toggle switch in the reverse Switch wire so as you can turn it off if required...

If you are putting a camera on the van, I have powered my camera on the van from the number plate light, when I want to use it I turn the park lights on, saved a far amount of wiring and joins at the tow hitch
cheers

I also wired mine to the 'park' lights, then I can turn it on or off as required.

Cheers
