Lightning Ridge or Sapphire?

confuse.gifconfuse.gif As quite a few of you lot know, we are mad fossickers. We were heading of to "The Ridge" on Monday, but have been told, the road to the area of Grawin is closed, and will be for about 6months, due to floods. We've been going there for 10 to 12 years... love Lightning Ridge for itself, but don't want to go that far if I can't dig in the dirt, soooooooooo, we're thinking of going to Sapphire or Rubyvale instead.

Here's the problem. We have no contacts in either Sapphire or Rubyvale. Are there any GN'S on the forum up that way? There used to be. We're not "rookies", as we've been going there for a long time as well , but it would be nice to have a contact there.

Any suggestions, anyone?

Thanks. Dellie.

Thanks guys. Jules, this time we'll be camped up at Graves Hill.. Normally, we stay at "Reward", but feel we need a change of digging area. Love the tavern there and will certaintly be visiting it glasses.I'll chat to some of the locals then.Just thought it would be great to catch up on any other GN'S while out that way.
Hey Wombie. We don't have a claim in LR, but camp up at the "Pub in the Scrub" each time we go down. Far too much water over the road for us to get anywhere near it this time tho.
