tassie in september

heading to tassie for the first 3 weeks in september and have just been told that is school holiday time, now never having been there before we hope to, once landed in devonport to head west down the bottom and then up the east coast with maybe a side trip down the middle of the state to hobart and back to devonport,, now i didn't even think to take into account the school holidays, my question is am i going to have trouble finding that van parks are close to being booked out,, we will be somewhat self contained as we'll be taking the "tardis" with us our home made camper trailer with oztent, but would need to hit a van park at least once a week at least,, should i think about making some bookings just in case,, any thoughts from anyone who has been there at that time would be welcome

cheers

tony

Personally, I would just go, we were there one Christmas, with camper, never booked anywhere, got in no problems, and did some free camping as well. Welcome back by the way, haven't seen you on here for a while.

Good that you are on the mend - nothing worse than feeling crook - enjoy Tassie - we just loved the West Coast - Teds Beach near Strathgordon on Lake Pedder was a magic spot for us (Camps 5 - No. 152) - but the whole state is pretty amazing, as I'm sure you will find. Again, enjoy.
