A great stopover at Lawrence NSW, Free electric BBQ, General store Grog & hardware. Nice spots right on the water at park very quite & safe town good fishing at your door step. 3 ways to get there (1) from Grafton 30 Kms, (2) Somerland Way 27 Kms or (3) Mclean 15 Kms This way is over Ferry and would advise to cross at high tide it is a large ferry, Thing to do Museum Sat-Sun & Tue 1pm-5pm or just relax and enjoy fishing. If not raining or ground wet another spot is opp the post office on nice mowed grass area.
We are house sitting at the moment in the area and will be here till Sep 2011 so if you are a fellow gray nomad in the area pop us a email on white board and we could catch up.
Went to Lawrence and PMd Dave who met me on the bank of the Clarence river where I had set up for the night.
It is a picturesque location and I can also recommend grey nomads visiting this free camping spot,
After the first night I explored and found a spot about 1km further and across a very old bridge and have now set up and erected the annex for a longer stay.
There are a couple of photos of Lawrence on the "Now I am officially a nomad" thread on the Solo Nomad forum
