Would I be right in assuming that this is the c/pk at Yungala at the base of Lake Tinaroo and not the Big 4 c/pk up the top end????

It's a beatiful part of the north, that's for sure.

I'll be up there in a few weeks Yogi. Staying with friends at Malanda, but will probably go over to the lake at some stage in my roamings. Might see you.

I think Pejay meant Yungaburra, there is a basic caravan park on the lake there also, that end of the dam is called Tinnaburra, usually gets busy with the water skiers etc on weekends and school holidays, both spots are beautiful.

They make great lactose-free cheese and chocolate up that way. You gotta try it even if it's just a little, because it is a bit pricey (sorry Pricey).

this weekend they have alot happening up this way, at the lake they have a rowing regatta, the Peeramon Pub has its annual Pig Hunt and weigh in day is Sunday, last year they weighed in 9 tonnes of feral pigs- a hint if you come for a look at this bring a hanky with essential oil, as the smell is pretty bad if its a warm day, but definately worth a look, also have wood chopping etc .. also tour de tablelands bike race is happening, and also the Kiari School Centenary is on Sunday.
