Hands Free Bluetooth

After I purchase my Pathfinder they then decided to fit Bluetooth Hands Free to the next model .  Not a big user of phones while in the car  I didn't give it much thought.

Did ask Nissan dealer if a retro fit was available   "Sure is Sir "  $650.00 as it required the Radio/ CD system  to be changed over.  In the Reject Shop Saturday wasting time while waiting for Mrs Wombat  and what's on sale   Hands Free Blue Tooth  at the grand price of $5.00 and a rear view mirror model  with solar recharger for $6.50.  Got one of each just to sus it out and so far it's working just fine ,works on the voice activated principle  for both answering and number dialing .  For an investment of $11.50 I have bugger all to lose.

Son In Law got one while in Brisbane on Friday  and rang telling me about this great purchase at  $85.00,   No need to say who's not a happy camper

I got one from Deal Xtreme for around $35.00  a few months ago, and still can't get it to work.

Cheers,

Sheba.

So how do they justify the $650 quote to install?

Not doubting your abilities to hook it up, mine did it itself.  Did note that if you don't complete the pairing up within the time frame (5 minutes) it goes back to step one .

Make sure your phone has the blue tooth discovery function on otherwise it won't find your phone

Same as a  dealer 40000 service   $986.00 and when you check the book most of it is visual inspections of things  that don't make the car run  the only parts were  gear box engine and diff oil change and an air and oil filter.  the list of visuals read like the Sydney phone book.  For the price I was expecting 4 new tyres and a full vehicle detail inside and out

Blue-tooth function on Phone paired up with in-car unit, but when the Phone rang, I pressed the answer button, and nothing happened.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Fingers crossed mine works fine. Seeing your phone paired up with the BT device I can't think of a cause for it not to operate

Exact same unit in major motor store cattledog $49.00 Some mark up seeing my $5.00 unit still turned the retailer a profit
