The pic is a baby Robin Red Breast,  we were heading into town when I noticed him on the road, he didn't move as I went passed so I reversed back to him, he just sat there so I picked him up as he was sure to be run over where he was.  I thought he was hurt but as I lifted him he flew into the car and landed on my wife's shoulder, I said to the Mrs there's nothing wrong with him he must be just out of the nest, so I took him over away from the road and sat him on this stump.  As I walked away an adult Robin flew past him and he flew off with it.

We were only about a kilometre from home, near the Brisbane Ranges. (in Victoria)
