It's been a while since we've logged in to the site. You'll have to forgive us, but we've been having a wow of a time and of course have had to keep our family and all the friends up-to-date with stories and photos. But here we are travelling through the Upper Hunter Valley (in the town of Scone for one night) and slowly making our way back to the coast at Newcastle. From there up to New Haven for seven nights and then inland again to, unfortunately, start making our way back to Perth WA.
Since leaving Perth, some six and a half months ago, we crossed the Nullarbor, did the Great Ocean Road, had seven glorious weeks in Tasmania, bought a new caravan in Melbourne, dodged floods and bushfires all over the place in Victoria, stayed in Ballarat, Bendigo and towns along the Murray River like Echuca and Yarrawonga, towed the van from beautiful Bright over the top of Mt Hotham and down to the coast at Lakes Entrance. We caravanned up the lush green coastline of NSW to Batemans Bay. Then over the Clyde to Canberra, back to the coast at Kiama for ten nights, where we met up with some golfing friends from Perth, and there also experienced rain like we've never seen before! Then it was on to Sydney where we climbed the Harbour Bridge (unforgettable), and went inland to Katoomba (Three Sisters) and further on drove on the Mt Panorama racing circuit at Bathurst. We also visited the colourful town of Orange where we met up with some friends.
There's been lots and lots more, but too much to mention here. We're absolutely loving the caravanning life and hope to be able to continue doing so for many more years to come.
For now, please take care and we hope to keep you up-to-date on a more regular basis.
Cheers,
Judy and Ben
