Hi all, We,ve just come back from a 2 week trip up the East coast, Lakes Entrance to Sydney. What we found was there were plenty of pet friendly parks BUT then the local shire/council restricted you on where you could take your pets once you left the caravan park. There are some fantastic beaches which allow you to have pets on but others would restrict you like not permitting pets between the hours of 9 am to 5pm and that's out of holiday periods. So what you really need to do is check if the area surrounding the park is also pet friendly other wise you'll find yourself a prisoner of the park or coping a fine. Eden NSW had a fantastic park even supplying a hot dog wash for free. I'll give you the address as it really impressed us.
SOUTH OF GEELONG (SURFCOAST HWY HOLIDAY PARK) I HELP AT THIS PARK IT IS A DOG FRIENDLY PARK .CLOSE TO GEELONG 10k TORQUAY 10k THERE IS A DOG BEACH THERE ALL YEAR .HOPE TO SEE YOU. RON.
I've come across this pro Council bloke on another forum. He likes to stir up trouble and then watch those who bite get themselves into strife while he stands back and laughs his tits off. Ignore his vitriolic comments people.

I aspire to be the sort of person my dogs already believe I am! Oh, and I don't suffer fools gladly. If that's a fault get over it!
Dog friendly beach in Marybrook, and and it runs along Caves Road towards Busselton, easy access down side roads to beach, massive stretch of lovely beach! there are caravan sites all along Caves road that take dogs as well, you are halfway between Dunsborough and Busselton.

I am not pro council, I just believe that beaches should be dog free, I am entitled to my opinion as much as you are entitled to yours.
Isn't it funny that when someone doesn't agree with you their comments are regarded as vitriolic

I dont suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.
There are enough restrictions when travelling with pets and I currently have a pet friendly holiday accommodation business in which I allow pets inside and thoroughly fumigate each time - the pet owners are happy to cover this cost. At the risk of provoking heated discussion, in general I have found pet owners to be meticulous and responsible and much more cleaner than people with young children. I ask pet owners to leave the place looking as if a pet has never been there and mostly that happens. Conversely when a family with young children has stayed, more often than not the place is a nightmare to clean.... stuff all over the walls and used nappies left inside rather than put in the bins. I very much prefer to have pet owners stay. cheers
