rear view cameras

Want to fit a rear view camera to the van, main concern is to see whats coming up behind me whilst travelling.  Once again, its a minefield out there.

Any advise, I've heard that wireless arn't much good.

Thanks, Stan and Pat

Hello Stan & Pat

I put one one my Evolution for the same purpose and got mine from Safety Dave on the internet excellent service and next day delivery. camera for the car and one for the caravan

Camera need to be wired to the ignition, not reverse, so it can be used when you are travelling. Glare does interfere a bit but still good

Hey Jimbo, how long ago were they available from Aldi????

Jaycar have one that fits over the rear view mirror on special for April - cost $189.00, which is pretty good for that type, IMHO.

Cheers,

Patto

I have wired my van camera to the vans number plate light, so if I want to use it during daylight hours I just turn on the park lights. This saves runing another power lead from the vehicle to the rear of the van.
cheers

 Stan.

Click the "SEARCH"  at the top  centre of the page.  Type in "Reversing Cameras" or Rearview

Think theres been a few posts in the past on this subject.

I bought mine on Ebay   from Hong Kong. about 2 years ago. Fitted it myself,   works well.  Use it every day at present.

Regards

Mike and Ellie
