Had heaps milo. You lie on a table and it moves through what looks like a donut. Very open and not claustrophobic. You stay fully clothed. Nothing to worry about.

Milo, I agree with what everyone else has already said.

I've had several cat scans too and they are easy peasy smile

Good birthday present Milo. I'm please the scan showed nothing. That's the best result a scan can show.
All you have to do is sort out the symptoms now.
That's the problem with going to doctors. I keep telling them there's nothing wrong with me, but they keep finding stuff in blood tests, so I've declined to keep having blood tests.
It's amazing what medical science can find now with just a simple blood test. You may not have any real symptoms, but oops, there it is, an abnormality in the blood test.
Investigation follows, maybe a scan, untra-sound, xray, still nothing. And that's a good thing.
Keep up the good work, and I hope your dad is also ok as well.

I know what you mean, CG. My blood tests are always 'off' as I have practically no spleen. But my Specialist and GP know what's 'normal' for me.

I've had lots of tests done over the past 13 years, but never had a cat scan. Glad yours was fine Milo.

the trouble we have these days is , the practice we go to is good, one head doc, and then you get the other docs under him,
some seem to last awhile some only last a fe months and go some where else, kind of hard to build up a relationship with your doc if you know what i mean...

Yes, Milo, I know all about that one.

My doctor left the practice but someone told me where she went, so I followed her. It's a bit further to go, but I think it's worth the travel. I've seen other doctors at the same practice, but only one other impresses me as much as she does. The trouble is, she's very popular with others too, so it can be hard to get an appointment. But she's told me she will see me anytime. So I don't abuse that, I only use that tact if I'm really sick. A few weeks ago, I did that, and when I got there, she apologised to me, for making me wait until the evening to see her. I'd rung in the morning.

She's not perfect, she sometimes gets things wrong, but I really like having a doctor who knows me inside and out. I've been going to her for over 20 years now.

Same with my doctor, Have to wait 2 weeks to get into her sometimes or see one of the other doctors at the clinic who don't know me.

She's goes between the Echuca and Moama clinic so I can go to either to see her but nearly always takes 2 weeks.

Nor me, A late riser and late to bed is me. I always make appointments for after 11am so I know I've had enough time to do what I have to at home before I head off.

I always seem to get teased around here, for being a late riser. My reasons are that I often have trouble getting to sleep. Once I'm asleep though, that's it, I can sleep for 9 hours no problem.

I try to make appointments later too, but more because of traffic. Whether I'm going to my GP or to one of the hospitals, it all means driving up the M1. The joys of living in the city.

Waiting on Doctors - lady doctor I used to go to was so busy you would sometimes have to wait a month or two to get into her, unless it was something you were really worried about. Had a breast lump - rang up - told lady at reception what I was worried about - was in there, waiting in treatment room within 3 hours - she saw me between patients. Appointment made same day by surgery with specialist two days later - phone call at home after I had been at specialist - that's why we all loved her so much. Her book was closed - no new patients until somebod left. Miss her heaps.
