The best are the Aussie Truck mirrors or one of the clones of it. This link shows one of the clones. They are available from a lot of auto accessory stores as well as caravan spare parts dealers.

Be aware of the clone truck mirrows. I am on to my fifth set in 15 months. The first brand was replaced three times and then got my money back.( cannot remember the brand). Then went to the Coast to Coast brand, had them replaced within eight weeks. The replacment are now three and a half months old and having the same probelm. All the crome fittings start to rust with in the first few weeks. The actual mirrow design is great and works very well, the probelm is the crappy crome plating and steel quality which comes from overseas. We do want everything cheap,so we reap what we sow.
We have had the Aussie truck mirrors for 8years now and haven't had any problems. Although on this link they are twice the price of the clones. Regards Jim
thanks every one for your input on the mirrors. it pays to have good ones from the word go. i have looked at other brands and i find that if you ask people that use them you get on honest answer. will they scratch the windows at all regards peter
Hello Peter I have a prado with aussie mirrors and have lost the plastic cover on the part that slides down the door. Check that the window does not contact that part when opening. I have to open the door and move the mirror outward when opening the window. Quick answer Yes they can scratch the window Ken
