Canberra to Batemans Bay

Could some kind person assist a newbie? Planning a trip travedlling Canberra to Batemans Bay in part. My son informs me it is hard going for Caravans. Pulling a modest 17' Grand Eagle pop top with a 3litre Pajero. Any probs.

Many Thanks.Chris

Hi Chris
We have done this trip a few times (towing 17ft pop top) and understand your concerns, it is not that bad (Kangaroo Valley in my opinion is worse). My advice, take your time, relax and and don't feel pressured if cars bank up behind you, there are passing lanes.

For the passengers, keep an eye out for Pooh Corner, you will know what I mean when you see it.

Cheers

Sandra

Yes there is some slow hard climbing. However if your rig is not overloaded and you drive to the conditions you should have no problems. Just remember to use as low a gear as possible when descending the hills.

Goodie

Thanks everyone for your input. We will give it some serious consideration before taking the plunge......ooops. SWMBO is not keen so another time perhaps.

Once again, many thanks for the advice.

Chris
