I am trying to work out why on earth would you stay there 6 months when its that bad. Definitely a place to avoid. You could have gone many other places for much cheaper than that and less stress.

I agree with Happy Wanderer... what made you stay so long?
Sorry to hear that percy. Wouldn't staying there cause her more stress and not help her get better. I know it would me, but my daughter says I stress over nothing.
It's always good to hear about places such as these. Fore-warned is fore-armed as they say, and if someone doesn't tell us about them how do we find out? I really hope your wife is fully-recovered now, and that you are both enjoying yourselves in beef-capital, Rockhampton.
I just read an article in a magazine about Allies Creek and had no idea where it was other than in Qld. Google did not reveal anything specific either.
Thank you Percy for solving the problem for me.
I sincerely hope your wife is back in good health by now and you are enjoying your travels together again.
I dont know, but if I had an experience like that I surely would shout long and loud about it and as for cross posting the more you let people know about it the better.
SO GOODONYA PERCY SHOUT ALL YOU LIKE

I don't know why people go on about people using capital letters and calling it 'shouting'. Yes, I know that's what they say it is in IT, but hey, they're just words that this person feels strongly about. I'm with you goinsoon. As far as I'm concerned, shout all you like about treatment like that, Percy. I think I would be too.

It's very pretty, Boroma. I'm interested in macro photography, but with it, a lot of things look totally different up close. I thought your pic was a flower, but couldn't be sure. When we toured western Queensland, out around the Quilie/Windorah area, we used to see paddock upon paddock of large and small clumps of pretty white flowers. I don't know what they were, but they were so beautiful en masse like that.
Me too! And I would love to see a thread dedicated to macro photography - how about it, Cindy?
I love the petals on the dandelion - they almost look transparent, and such a pretty colour - very summery. If I can work out how to post a photo again (since the Seeing red competition has finished, I haven't posted any photos of late! ) I will do so with a couple of my favourite macros.
Romy - go to post quick reply - advanced editor at the bottom - then at the bottom of reply area - insert (or is it attach) image - browse - upload wait a bit and it will happen - try again - good luck

Thank you Jules. I was just going to say, 'There's nothing like that at the end of my page' as I have been replying via the quick post reply, but when I click on the Reply button on the right, everything's there, so will try now. Worked well!

I have just asked Cindy for a specific 'Macro Photos' thread. The aim is to have no normal size or even smallish photos in it, only macro (very close up) photos. I hope she likes the idea.
