We have had our Jacyo Conquest motor home about a year now and are getting ready for a trip up north of WA next year. In doing a full mechanical check we get out the wheel jack to see how we change a flat tyer and find the jack provided is useless. Went off and purchased a bigger jack and again that one does not do the job safely. Have phoned a couple of local motor parts places in our area and they where of no assistance. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on this problem? Many Thanks Tats
I was wondering if you would be able to provide a liitle more specific detail .. like maybe what the exact problem is .. I have a motorhome too, and its all been a learning curve to me. Sometimes I found that I wasn't doing things correctly .. even though I was comfortable with my approach .. My M/H has a Fiat Ducato base .. after purchasing an additional jack that had been suggested I do, it still hasn't been used as the original works fine. Its a 'scissor' type jack and I wasn't happy with using it .. but when it was used through necessity, it performed just fine ..

Guys , Get your self a good bottle jack and a nice bit of plank to sit it on.. And a 10 ton bottle jack is better than any sissor jack. We first traveled with a 30 ft bus -motor home. and we carried 2 jacks one a lower type and a 10 ton bottle type...Use the second as a safty one if you have to take both rear wheels off, on one side that is.....Bob

Hi everyone Ended up going and buying another bigger, heavier jack and made up a block to sit it on safely. Phoned Jayco and they couldnt assist and don`t hold jacks in stock! Have a great and safe New Year and happy travelling in 2011
Hi Bob & Bev Thanks for the advise. We have done exactly what you have suggested. Our kids have taken off in the van today heading for Kalgoolie WA ( only going to be a cool 40c) so we know everything will go well for them, but you just have to be ready for any problems on the road. Have a wonderful and safe 2011 Cheers Tats
