bellingen showground

Spent a few days at Bellingen NSW between Coffs Harbour and Dorrigo it is about 1/2hr to rainforests, waterfalls or beaches is $20p/n for couple. You can  hook up to the power when you get there,  call the number on sign at the amenities block and Denise will bring you the key for the showers and collect your money. Nice & clean, shop close by. There was only 1 other van at the time.  The actual camp area is at the back of the showground on a lovely mowed grass area. smile

Hi we often travel down that way as we have our Daughter, Son in Law and Grandies at Nana Glen.  Took a load of their rubbish up to Lowanna Tip the other day.  Have you taken a van down from Lowanna to Coramba.  I havent though I would but its very steep and slow.  Have you travelled the Waterfall Way towing a van?  Again we have not but just interested in your thoughts.  Oh yes and if you go through Glenreach, on the Orara Way,  do stop at the Golden Dog for a counter lunch...   We dont dine out often but its great value...   cheers pete

Hi Petengail, yes we often travel from Tamworth to the mid north coast along the Waterfall way.  No problems towing the van.  We usually stop for a cuppa at the 2 waterfalls which is very pretty.  Bellingen is also a good place to pull up for a shop or 2.

Hi Petengail,
We are from the area originally and have to return to see our Dr so we use Bellingen Showgrounds as a base. Waterfall way is ok towing vans you just have to take your time , there are a few places that you can pull into to give your car a rest for a few mins if you like or even stop have a cuppa and take in the views.
Haven't used the other road but might take a drive next time we there.
Regards
