Google Earth fans may not be aware that Nearmaps is available free and is much clearer and updated regularly, have a look, limited at the moment to major regions.
It might be great for cities but it's absolutely useless for my home town of Grafton NSW. it's missing most of the suburban streets and pixilates out when when I try to zoom. At least it could try to make an attempt to match Google's coverage. Think I'll mainly stick to Google Maps.

I put my address in and it just gave the main roads in and around the place No good if I'm looking for an address anywhere..in the State I still prefer Whereis maps to me at this stage are better

Hi Jimmy, I should have been clearer, I was recommending Nearmaps, top left hand corner, click on photomap or terraine, updated photo marked on a sliding scale back to previous takes, a good comparison.

I just looked at nearmaps. It has old footage as I looked into my address and my car hasn't been in that carpark since last March. and we haven't been that dry since last summer. But I must say very clear footage.
A lot of location photos are as recent as November and in some areas almost monthly, so probably this company takes images on demand by councils etc. Big brother for comparison reasons, including road linemarking condition.
