Brake Controllers

Hi All,
I have just had the brake controller on the Pajero pack up. A friend suggested a Tekonsha Prodigy as a replacement. Has anybody got one of these and, if so whats your opinion of them?
Regards,
Magnarc.

You'll find that the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 or P3 are the controllers favoured by knowledgeable vanners. The difference between the P2 & P3 is that the P3 has extra diagnostic features and costs a little more. However both work the same.
.A few seconds to set, and once done shouldn't need to be adjusted again. i.e. 'Set & Forget'.
I've had or used just about every controller on the market at one time or another and wouldn't consider any other controller. .
Cheers, ozjohn.

I have also used a few different types of controller but would not go past the Prodigy, best thing since sliced bread IMHO.

Thanks guys, I guess a Prodigy it will be. It is always good to talk to someone who has first hand knowledge.
Cheers,
Magnarc.

PS. Ihave just been quoted over the phone  $285 for the P2. Does this sound reasonable??

Does that include fitting, check the URL below where you will see the P2 at $124.95.

That site is located in USA, but it does raise the question as to why so much more expensive here in Oz given (approximate) dollar parity.

G'day Guys,
The quote was for fitting, but in the light of what some of you have said it does seem a bit dear.
I have had an Auto-Elec tell me that to fit one would be about $50

Will have to decide soon which way to go. Thanks again to all those who wrote in.
Regards,
Magnarc
