Home Again

Hi Everybody, just back from 3 lovely weeks away, had a great time, learned heaps,  now planning our next trip! (as you do!) Our house-sitters were a great success, all was in excellent order when we returned.

The Jacarandas in Grafton were lovely, (Grafton's a nice town too), but we particularly enjoyed the Caves C'park at Wellington, and the Dawson River C'park at Taree. Both are lovely parks, and in the centre of areas with lots of interesting things to do/see. Washpool N.P between Glen Innes and Grafton was beautiful but the heavy rain we had there took the fun out of it a bit. (read leeches! bleh) Really wonderful to see country over such a big area that has been in drought for years all lush and green again.

The van towed well, a couple of minor problems showed up, but they'll be fixed under Jayco's warranty so we are very happy overall.

Glad you had a good trip Gert.  Grafton is a lovely town as you said.  Did you go to the park in the middle of Wellington.   I think it's such a lovely place for a stop off and a coffee at the picnic tables.

I was also in Grafton last week - well passsing through, and when visiting a mate on the Gold Coast, commented that the whole area looked like one big golf course. ... just so green after the drought....

Sounds like you had a great trip gerty I'm looking forward to mine next year. Did you find it easy to get a housesitter, I need one for 6 months to look after my house and 2 cats and am a bit nervous about it all
