Contents insurance

Hi - we've just bought a pop-top camper, and are about to start our travels - before we leave, we were just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on who to go with for vehicle & contents insurance? Thanks, DK

We are happy with N.R.M.A, but of course thats just a personal opinion.

Both CIL and NRMA have contents insurance for vans and I bet others do so also so just check with your current insurer and go see.

We use APIA for ALL our insurance.  We find it very competetive and very flexible.

Also like the convenience of paying by the month without any added premium for doing so like you have to do with some companies.

We use CIL and on the one BIG claim we had they were exemplary. Contents covered to the max.

I'm with CIL but I have had to debate the difference between storm water damage and "wear and tear". They won the debate, this time.
It seems some of the staff know jack sh.t about caravans and what they're exposed to in the course of normal use vs storm and tempest.
Most of the staff have been great, but there's one little twerp in there somewhere who just doesn't get it. I've offered to formerly "train" him, and they almost took me up on my offer.
Generally they've been good, with the convenience of monthly payments.

My vehicle is with ALLIANZ, and they were very prompt when I had my little accident in Cairns.
